Default Belly Pan Cutout. Is it missing a door?

Hey folks,

New 3rd Gen owner (5.7 Hemi Citadel) here. Today, I looked under the vehicle at the front belly pan. There is a cutout in the belly pan where one can service the oil filter. I noticed this cutout has a tab for a door but no hole drilled in the tab to secure a door. Does any 3rd gen owner (w/V8) have a door that covers this cutout or was it designed that way to be without one?

See attached pic.

Thanks in advance.

R/T RWD no cover, sure looks like it was supposed to have one. Wonder if it's for the V6, the filter is on top of motor no need for hole.

Same here on my '12 Citadel. Missing the door that's made to be there. Gonna ask about it at the first oil change.

Jeep guys have been chatting this up since they first came out, seems normal. I could not find any of the really old posts but I remember reading up on all the JGC's because of the how much the drivelines were alike and recall seeing this topic.
