Default Daytime running light on 3rd gen Durango

Hello all,

Does anybody know if there is there a way to activate daytime running light manually (keyfob bottons sequence or so) ?

I'm exporting a 2011 Durango to Canada and was told that they were no more DRL module to add, just a soft configuration that dealership can do easily.

If anybody can help me with that, let me know.

They do it using StarSCAN at the dealership. Don't think you can do it on your own.

Hey myrest,

just curious what you are going to do for warranty coverage. I'm in Canada too, the price difference on the Durango's is crazy. I bought a Tahoe in 2008 from the USA and saved a tonne, luckily GM Canada honoured the warranty...Pulled the trigger on a 2012 Durango to replace the Tahoe, don't have it yet, but compared to what others in the USA paid, we are getting hosed in Canada. No incentives from Dodge either....

StarSCAN is it...plug it in, navigate the menu, enable DRL and exit. Maybe you can have your dealer do it as part of the sale, no extra charge.

Just got my Durango yesterday, a used 2011 Crew Blackberry blue with only 4000 miles. Look like new, smell like new, run like new... I'm pretty happy with it.

They did the change for me at the dealer no extra charge. It is now with DLR and metric.

I'm spending the weekend in USA and wil bring back the D tomorrow

@crew man: I'm saving about 11500$ (10k plus Quebec and Canada taxes) . They day I'll have spend that amount in repair on the truck during what's remaining of the warranty, I will be pretty upset... It's a gamble for now...Will see...

Interesting. Our D does not have the DRLs enabled. Thought it was the law in the US.
