Why not convert using a conversion kit. My experience tells me it will be much easier and will save you several hundred dollars over converting to OEM projector type.

Majority of all Jeeps/Dodges use the H11 low beam bulb. I'm not sure about the Durango but some Jeeps are a PITA and require a relay harness and an inline capacitor to stabilize current to the relay.

the current wk2 grand uses the same bulbs as the durango...so i have complete how tos on JeepGarage...but adding a kit to a halogen housing is not for me. I wanna add the oem HID lamps like I did with my 2006 Grand Cherokee. I just used a 9006 relay harness, tapped into the ballasts power and ground wire and then connected the relay as usual...and I have the oem HID lamps. I dont have the leveling...buit I dont really need it as you can manually level them. All of the oem HID Durango lamps I have seen on ebay...dont show a harness connected to them like the 08-10 Grand Cherokee oem HID's. Can someone with the oem HID's post a pics of the harnesses and backs of the hid lamps. I have found brand new Durango HID headlamps for $300 each...with bulbs and ballasts.

just a heads up, I believe the 2011+ durango/cherokee has autoleveling and/or AFS? (headlights turn when you turn). There are a few photos if you look on ebay for "2011 durango headlight"

I started exploring this topic last august and priced out about $950 for oem hid headlights. I believe you would still need ballasts, wiring, bulbs.

I did a retrofit myself making "quad HIDS" with rx330, and fx-r projectors. It came out ok but had issues with condensation and my alignment wasnt perfect, and overall I didnt do them well enough for a brand new truck...

fastforward... I went to a professional retrofitter whom I have used before, with a brand new set of halogen headlights. I wanted OEM quality so he used oem fx35 with clear lenses, and tsx with clear lenses and did another quad retrofit. He also painted the bezels on my crew black, making them more like the RT's.

Ballasts are Denso slim OEM's properly potted with TRS plug'n'play wiring harnesses. I used genuine 85122 d2s bulbs. I also used a error code canceller from ebay, not sure if you need it or not.

The only things I lost and really could care less about is the auto high-beam acts weird (it makes the high-beam solenoid jump for a second before activating), and flash to pass.

I am much happier with my retrofit now, they are amazing to drive with and look and feel OEM. They have a razorblade cutoff, and a decent amount of color (the rx330/fx-r combo had more) I emptied my wallet exploring this topic.... but I have headlights that are far brighter than even our oem hid's.

yep...Im aware of the autoleveling. Same as the 08-10 WK headlights I have retofitted to my 2006. I really dont care for the autoleveling and it wont bother me not to have it.
I have seen the lamp on ebay...but was hoping for an owner here to post a pic of their lamps with the harness plugged in. I think Ive decided to buy a set of lamps and do the retrofit. I have found a set on new lamps for alot less than what you experienced. I have no interest in retorfitting projectors...just too much that can go wrong when there are perfect oem projectors available.
