ok I am taking your word on this, and I also found a shcematic on the jeep forums that agrees with you. I really am off my game today... time to take the doors off and switch polarity...... again.....

What kind of speakers are you putting in? Let me know if its a big improvement. I don't take it you have the Alpine system.

I would be very interested as well in the sound improvements with the new speakers.

Yes this is correct.

As for replacing any speakers. its makes a HUGE difference. I personally got rid of the 6x9 and tweeters in the front doors and put in a set of 6.5" components. When doing so i used the signal at the 6x9. the signal at the tweeter is already crossed over.

I did jbl 6.5 component fronts, and 6.5 3-way rears. Much improvement, Im not happy to listen to my music again. It cost me $70 for 6.5 3-ways, $75 for components, $30 for the reccomended tool to open the door, $3 for speaker connectors, $11 for 6x9 to 6.5 adapters, and a big thank you to baum for correcting me 2 thousand times!

I will have to go back in eventually and take the crossovers out since its the oem is already crossed over. Baum if you would be so generous, which colors are + and - for the tweeters
