Default Steering wheel cover starting to crack

I just noticed our 2011 Durango steering wheel cover is starting to crack.
We don't park in the sun at all but it looks like it is drying out. We have only had it four months now.

That sucks, that's why you have a warranty. Take it in and have it replaced.

Like I said, take it in so they have record of it and have your warranty replace it.

I would suggest showing the dealer as well!

I agree that you should take it in and have them look at it, but I wouldn't guarantee that they will replace it based on what I can see right there. But, even if they don't, then at least you have it on record as an issue that they have seen it from this early stage.

That looks more like someone squeezing/gripping the wheel so tight that the cover is creased/wrinkled. I don't see cracks/openings into the padding.

My driving is not that bad to cause the death grip but I agree if does look like that.
The cover does have much give and is hard to squeeze.

I had the steering wheel changed out three days ago and the new one is starting to show little cracks already. This is a gray interior which maybe limited only to the color. Three days this one lasted.
We have been VERY careful not to have anything on our hands that affect the leather. The seats and everything else is fine.
The little cracks now aren't a problem now but it starts to flack off in time.

The leather, any leather, will always break in. I don't think that is a defect.
