Default 2012 White or Silver R/T?!

I had my heart set on a silver R/T until I went to the dealer to take a test drive (the beast as they appropriately call this model)...As soon as I saw the white model my mind went 180... I am torn!

I am going all out: captains chairs (with center console), sunroof, 700 series radio, back up cam...

Also, I am not a HUGE fan of the stock R/T rims. Any way the dealer will let me get another RT models rims at no/minimal cost? Any advice would be great. But it's not a deal breaker.

I am upgrading from a 2000 Monte Carlo SS. So this is a very exciting time for me. I know I have to custom order for the captains chairs...but its worth the wait. Those chairs will be so sweet! Also, after 165k miles on my Monte, I can wait another month. I will not miss the Monte, it was poorly made and required WAY too much upkeep (new tranny, new a/c, lots of seals replaced, etc). Granted, it was a bad time for GM (the union set the rules, not the need to make great cars. like today). But, I will say, she has been fast every time I floored it.

I hope my Dodge will build my car with love and I too will enjoy it for 160k miles! I am about 4 weeks away from ordering her.

I love this forum. It's my daily stop for 'aha moments and LOTS of learning!

Can't go wrong either way imo... I went in wanting white until I saw the maximum steel in person. I have yet to see any dealer that will allow for a wheel swap but you should get some 22's anyhow..lol!

I ordered just about the exact same thing, R/T with captain's chairs (except mine will be black,) on April 2nd. According to the order tracking they give you, they haven't started to build mine yet but have it scheduled for production. Hoping to get it before June 9th to take it on vacation with me.

I couldn't find an r/t with captains chairs anywhere in the WV/OH vicinity to buy. That's why I had one built so I wouldn't "settle" for something I really didn't want.

Good luck on pursuit for your new durango!

I think silver looks better. Too many soccer moms on my block with white SUVs

My last two cars were white and silver, so thats why I'am strongly leaning red ths time around. Both are very classy colors though.

All in all, color choice will always come down to personal preference. What I find to be boring and would never consider (white, silver, black) may be the only thing that somebody else would consider. I have always had blue or red and don't really like any other colors, so ultimately you need to just look at both of your options and decide which you are drawn to the most.

I was torn between those two colors as well, I finally went with the silver and I'm loving it.

NICE!!! Thank You for taking the time to upload the pic...The silver sure is a beauty. Plus, living in Fort Lauderdale allows me to get away with dark tint...

Nice Ride!

I wouldn't take too much stock in the dodge.com/vots web site. Mine shows scheduled for production and it was delivered to the dealer Monday and I pick it up tomorrow. Pretty worthless web site if they don't update it.

How long did it take for yours to be built and delivered? Getting excited!
