some say you should disconnect the positive terminal during installation and allow the computer to adapt to the fact its getting more air after installation but I ran a shop for a number of years and never found that to be the case. I know guys who swear by it and others who think it's bs so the debate rages on!

I think with a relatively simple airflow mod most modern ECUs will recalibrate on its own if you just drive it for a bit.
That has been the case with any engine mod I've nade on my S4; the car adapts after 20ish mins of driving even if I do a throttle body recalibration with my laptop.
