Default Stock R/T Tires....

So I'm going to be getting some new wheels and I want to get 22's but the wife said that there is going to be no new tires until the ones i currently have are going out. So my question is how many miles am I going to have to wait lol. I do drive pretty hard (like the R/T is supposed to be drivin) so I'm not going to have as many miles as say my dad who drives like a super old guy lol. All of my other vehicles have either been off road tires or super soft race tires that have a 15-17k tread life.

I only have 7750 miles on my D now so I'm hoping I don't have to wait till 40-50k.

I doubt that will work in Florida, lol. Start doing many burnouts and then rotate fronts to back. That should get them used up pretty quick

My R/T came with the junk Kumhos and they lasted 14,000 miles. Half of that was cold weather, MN driving. So in the year round warm, you should get less if using the same tires.

The stock Kumho's - have no business being on a winter road. They grip so poorly the anti-locks kick in instantly.

I am glad to have a nice set of Goodyears on their now!

Raise your tire pressure, not to much then it becomes dangerous. Say about to 40 psi. That will cause the center of the tire to have more contact with the road giving you uneven wear. It won't wear faster but the tires will look like they did because the center wore out quicker. Also don't rotate your tires, ever that will cause the front ones to wear much faster. I say about another ten thousand miles of driving around like that and you will be able to convince her you need new tires. Just don't buy the same brand you currently have. Then you have hear her bitch about "why did you buy the same brand tire the last set didn't even last 20,0000 miles."

Mine came with the optional Continental CrossContacts. I have 18k on them now, so I expect they will need to be changed around the 30k mark. I change mine when they get to the wear bars. Bald tires look and perform aweful, regardless of what you drive.

Which Goodyear's did you go with? I was looking around for something other than the Kumhos and couldnt find anything in the stock size
