Mopar has offered factory running boards for the 3rd Gen Durango but it's availbility has been delayed until late summer/early fall according to the local dealership's parts dept.
Here are a few photos of the Mopar Running Boards. There is no drilling, cutting, or any alteration to the original rocker panel when doing this modification. Although it does take a bit of time to install these if doing this alone on your back like I did. The running boards bolt up via three brackets (underneath) and in turn bolt up against the existing rocker moulding. It's a cleaver design but I still feel the best running board design was used in the Gen 1 'D' where it looked more like part of the vehicle vs an add on.
It's been a while but finally the Mopar Running Boards are available. I tried to take some photos but it was a bit too sunny.
Hmmm I don't like 'em. Too plain and way overpriced.
I bought the truck champ nerf boards for my new D I just bought Sunday. I think they complement the existing chrome accents on the Crew nicely. And only $180 shipped.
