Default Uhaul hitch vs. factory

Anyone have a picture of what a Uhaul hitch looks like on the 2012 Durango?

Thanks

Never seen a U-Haul installed one on these; they're too new.

Quick hijack: Why do folks buy a 3rd Gen D without a factory hitch and then immediately start seeking aftermarket alternatives? [/Hijack]

I had the opposite experience, couldn't find one without a hitch in jersey!

The factory hitch looks like it requires the bottom of the bumper to be changed out but not sure how a U-haul or similar would deal with that, lower receiver or they just cut the bumper and make it looks like poo.

I think all that U-Haul hitches come out from underneath the back of the bumper. The factory one requires you to cut a hole and then put a plate over it.

Exactly, u-haul, rigid, hidden hitch all are like this. there has been a post a while ago with pics showing an "aftermarket" hitch.

I have also seen stories where they had the draler install thers and when they cut the bumper it looked like trash (jaged cuts)

I installed the factory hitch a couple of weeks ago. The jagged cut out mess mentioned in an earlier post is just poor work on behalf of the dealer. The instructions for installing the hitch are very good and tell you how to remove the bumper, highlight the outline of the cut out that is embossed in the plastic, then cut it out. Not a big deal and it doesn't have to be a mess. I suspect the dealer was lazy and didn't remove the bumper or just didn't care and used a sawzall.

did the dealer kit you installed come with the bezel that sits in the bumper that "hides" the cut?

what did you pay of for the hitch if you dont mind me asking? where did you get it?

So your saying that on the inside of the bumper there is a "cutout" line?
