Default Hey Guys I did it but !!!!

Just installed the Volant CAI and there really is a difference on the gas pedal. I just left tire tracks in front of my house. But I do think the company has the wrong bracket to the steering fluid reserver. I had to band saw half of it so it would work. Not enough room there for such a long bracket. So I cut it where the long hole is for the bolt , then I measured where the new hole will go for the power steering and then put a piece of tubing around the new cut so there would not have any pressure on the reserver. The only thing I notice after taking it on and off a few times is that the plastic box the filter is in seems to sit high in the rear and slants forward towards the front. I guess that's right because the hood closes and it is working. Well hope this helps others with the 2012 R/T. I love the performance.

Seems like most people on here are going with the Volant.

Congrats Mike, my bracket was a bit of a tight fit but I got it in there after adjusting the airbox down a bit.

Congrats Mike, glad it worked out for ya! Dang, time to pull out the saw and cut that bracket eh?

Oh, and if you look at the air box, it's actually slightly taller in the back so the slant you're referring to is likely the result of design, but I could be wrong!

I like the Volant over K&N because it's enclosed and gives the engine bay a cleaner look. I'd imagine both are pretty comparable in performance marks though!

Is there a device that can log info from the ecu on these trucks? I'd love to see before and after logs of MAF readings and intake temp readings showing a CAI like this vs the stock box.
