vehicle moving on startup?
2012 RT AWD with pushbutton start: Transmission in park, level garage, park brake off.
Please try this and confirm if you have similar results:
1. Sit in vehicle
2. Foot on Brake
3. Push Start Button (keep foot on Brake)
4. Drivetrain clunk/shudder no movement
1. Sit in Vehicle
2. Foot on Brake
3. Push Start Button (remove foot from brake quickly)
4. Drivetrain clunk/shudder with vehicle rocking forward
It rocks enough that in a parking lot you may look in the mirror expecting to have been bumped by anopther driver backing into you.

I did notice when I shift the truck from say drive to revers that it clunks into gear, I have a 2012 Citadale with the Hemi. I just assumed that it was part of owning a truck and it has less than 200 miles on it.
I have a 2011 AWD R/T I have noticed it move forward or back a bit when I start it (usually using remote start) if I don't have the parking brake set. It not much, just enough to be noticeable. I thought it was related to the hill assist. I'm pretty sure the D has it. Its like the hill assist is "on" when the car is off, when you start it releases.
Someone who knows more about that feature can probably chime in,

FYI here is the docs on the hill assist for 2011, standard on all models (via Dodge):
Hill Start Assist allows the driver time to transition from brake to throttle to achieve a smooth launch on a grade. The system will hold brake pressure for about 2 seconds upon the driver's release of the brake pedal. The system decreases wheel pressure in response to increasing throttle to provide a smooth launch.

Hill Start assist works pretty well, but it is for the 2 seconds then the truck start to move backwards, in the SF hills, I do this my instinct by now since I'm use to driving a 5 speed.
I think what is being described here is normal tranny movement but I agree check your tranny fluid.
If you stand behind the truck you while its off you can push the truck a bit, maybe that's just the sticking of the gears with the fluids.

Hi all - sorry I have not been able to get back on. This is my wifes truck so I only get to really drive it on weekends. A couple things to reply from above
1. Parking on flat grade still produces lunge
2. Hill assist is OFF on my control panel
3. Have a follow up with dealer in a couple weeks. Will report back if I get any resolution
4. Still have not checked tranny fluid
sorry
