Amp Install ???? 2011 Durango
Is installing an AMP as easy as using a hi/lo pass from the Durango's Alpine stock amp to get signal and do I still have to run power cable from AMP to Durango battery?
Im just tyring to add a dual box with 12" Apline type R's.

I tapped into rear sub (4-wires dual voice coil) used a RCA converter, power from battery underneath passenger seat, add-a-fuse for the remote signal from stock fuse box under front hood. great sound quality no interference.
thanks bro, Im gonna give your way a try .... So just so I am correct... you added the rca converter straight from the stock sub wiring, then ran red power from amp to battery under pass seat.. Im lost on the remote signal.... couldnt I grab the remote signal from the stock alpine amp in the rear cargo?

NO. Its can bus controlled. meaning its all computer controlled to turn it on and off.
I used the red wire on the flashlight in the back and relayed it. this way it doesnt draw any current. Only down fall is its only on when the ignition is, not the acc position. i personally wouldnt do it without a relay since i dont know what else is on that circuit and could put a draw on it.
I think we all understand and get the other dynamics other than the remote wire. If it isn't too much trouble pics and step by step would be much appreciated. Just need directions up to getting it through the engine compartment.

Dude I too was totally lost. If you have the cigarette lighter in the trunk on the right inside quarter panel you can connect your remote directly to that. If you don't you can use any cigarette lighter as long as it has the key symbol on it which means it turns on with the ACC function.
