Singh81,

If it lasts, kudos. It looks great right now. Nice job.

If it doesn't last, the concept/look is sound. Find a better method to re-do it all again.

I agree that it is odd to have a $4 can of something sprayed on a $40,000 vehicle; however there is nothing wrong IMO finding something that works and just happens to be at a cheap price. All my powdercoating was costly and difficult. It would have been great to find a lower priced quality alternative.

Good luck!

P.S. So I assume you took the handles off to coat them?

I'm not a big fan of chrome either, which is why I went with the R/T model. I personally would have gone white to match the truck as opposed to the in-your-face black, but that's just me (i.e. the R/T look). You paid the money for the truck so I say do what you want to make it yours. I'm sure there are folks that don't like the stripes I made and put on mine, but I like it so I did it. Modify it to your liking (short of truck-nutz...LOL)...

Default Phase II completed today

Got the grille, lower side chrome on both sides, and the wheels painted today. My brother and wife helped out today!! I took pics but too much Johnny double black tonight. Will post tomorrow.

Only thing left are the chrome sides of the roof rack.

my initial intent was to see how it would look blacked out with plasti dip which is reversible and i can go back to chrome if i did not like the look. I have not been able to find a place that does powdercoat close to where I live. I think that I will just have the chrome sprayed matte black.

I painted the doorhandles while on the car. My wife did the tapework for me
