READ the Manul before giving bad advice
I am not claiming to be the greatest mechanic in the world, but I do it for a living and I am pretty good at it. PLEASE before giving someone advice that could potentially ruin their vehicle 1. Know what you are talking about 2. Do some research. I have seen a lot of bad advice given on this forum and a lot of good advice. I don't like it when people assume something and shoot from the hip and steer people the wrong way. I know everyone has a right to an opinion and free speech and all that jazz, but when thousands of dollars are the line and the safety of the vehicles occupants shooting from the hip is the wrong approach. Not trying to be an A-hole just trying to save some people a lot of heart ache. *I should clarify myself. Not all the bad advice I have seen here dealt with the Durango but other Dodge models also. I have no intentions of offending anyone. If I ever give advice that may harm the SUV or it passengers, by all means call me out.

I know you are not trying to start any conflict on here, but for those that have provided bad advice, have you at least contacted them through a PM to let them know that they have been incorrect? It is possible that they are giving what they think is good advice and if somebody doesn't correct them then they will continue to give bad advice. That would certainly be bad for the person that is taking their advice if they don't know any better.

If there's bad advice, let's openly (and objectivley) discuss the pro's and con's. After all this is a forum for disucssions. I rely on the collective responses here when deciding on what and how to do to my vehicle.
