Where are all the Durangos? : )
.
I have only seen a few in VA since we bought ours in Dec.
On a trip to FL in March, (1800 miles) I saw NONE on freeways down and back. (oddly I saw two different ones within 5 minutes while in Fl parking lot.)
On a trip to SC last week, (800 miles) I saw NONE on the freeways down and back. (oddly saw one parked 50 ft from mine in parking garage)
I like having something "different", but really expected by now to start seeing more. (I have seen lots of Jeep Grand Cherokees in same trips).

I'm in Northern VA and I have one. I have seen about 18 individual Durangos in this area in my travels among Loudoun, Fairfax, and Prince William Counties. Of the ones i have seen 4 have been Citadels, 4 have been R/T and the rest Crews.
For those that don't know, Northern Virginia has a large concentration of US Gov't employees, as well as government and military contractors; there is a lot of money to be earned here. It was also the home of the Dot-Com boom (and eventual bust).
A couple of my coworkers liked my Durango when they saw it and I talked it up a lot obviously, but one replaced a crappy Land Rover with a Citadel and another traded in his 2007 Chrysler 300 for an R/T so now there are 3 of us in the office with one. Only thing is that the Citadels are driven by our wives as daily drivers.

Prince William County here (Lake Ridge area). There's 4 in my neighborhood, including mine. 2 R/T's and 2 Crew's. I see a few here and there, but mostly Crew and Citadel. I dont see many R/T's on the road, and I'm fine with that. When I went to Lustine Dodge on Route 1 last week there were 4 salesmen out there checking out my R/T - they claim they had never seen a black on black one before.
There aren't many in the central Ohio Columbus area either. I traded in my Chevy Silverado two months ago for a Citadel and love it but I've only seen one Crew on the road. This is my first Dodge and I almost bought a GMC Acadia but there wasn't a V8 option and I wanted something different I see hundreds of Acadias around town and laugh when they break their necks trying to figure out what the D is!!
It definitely gets some looks; some because they haven't seen too many of them, but others because it puts their hoopties and jalopies to shame. I especially like stopping at lights next to the Gen 2 swollen Durangos, they look so awkward. That and with the HEMI you can pull away from those lights pretty quickly. The only large SUVs I know of that can pull away as fast and perhaps a bit faster are the Escalade or Denali which have a 6.2L V8 and AWD.
We use to have a 2009 Yukon Denali (VA plate: D3NAL1) so I speak from experience with that powertrain.
People seem to like the plates that I put on my vehicles; my Charger is 'H3M1 PWR' and the Durango is 'GO H3M1' since the D has no HEMI badging at all.

See 3G D's everyday in Jersey but not too many R/T's!

I had a guy stop me in the parking lot at work yesterday asking me what my SUV is. He was thinking it was a Toyota Highlander, but said he hadnt seen one look that cool before. When I told him it was a Durango, he was stunned - "So THATS what the new Durango looks like???"

BTW, the wife drives the D 98% of the time.
