Looks like the 2013 is not coming with the 8 speed tranny just yet
Here's a window sticker for a new 2013 and it still has the 5 speed transmission. I'm glad I didn't wait for it to come out and just bought the 2012.

You are right. I lucked out when I bought my '07 Charger SRT8. They only made minor improvements (slightly improved interior) until '11 so basically it was as good as a new one for another 3 years.
