Default TPMS replacement in new wheels?

Anyone who has replaced the factory wheels: Were you able to reuse the factory TPMS or did you have to purchase new sensors?

U can certainly reuse the factory sensors but it will cost you just as much to remove/reuse as to buy a new set...too much hassle imo!

A set of 4 BRAND NEW OEM sensors is only $75 on eBay. Only downfall is you have to have the dealer reprogram them every time you swap wheels every season. Good part is you don't have to break down 8 tires to swap the sensors. Like CM said, much less of a hassle to just get spares. I have a RWD G37S and this is how I do it. Actually, this summer I didn't even have the dealer reprogram the sensors. I just left the ones in my snow wheels programmed! So my TPMS light has been on all summer. Lol!

Just ordered up a new set of tpms with my new set up, everything was mounted/balanced and once installed simply recalibrated with the new wheels no issues at all!

Are you able to recalibrate manually without going to the dealer? I know some cars, like BMW and some Toyotas have a button on the dash where you can do it yourself. With my Infiniti, I have to pay the dealer $100 every time.

Simply restarted the car and after a few seconds they recalibrated by themselves!

I used TPMS from factory repo on my other car. Made it easy, no issue, and no need to go to dealer. Also allowed me to sell my old rims with the tires and tpms already installed.
