Question Anyone else get a popping noise through USB connection with iPod?

I noticed (when I had my Durango) that the audio makes a popping noise when I play my iPhone or iPod through the USB connectors. Seems to happen mostly if I crank the volume up loud, to around 25-30 and up. Sounds like I'm playing a vinyl record. Anyway, this crappy Dodge Journey they have me in does the same thing. My G37 doesn't do this at all, so I know it's not my iPhone and iPod. Anyone else notice this?

Change your cable. Noticed it when I first got the Durango, and I knew it wasnt my iPod because it wasnt happening in my other vehicle. Hooked my iPhone up and it did the same in the Durango, but not my car. Bought a new cable, no more pop.

I've tried this, but I don't like how you can't play what you want (at least I couldn't figure it out). Plus, I'm a music studio engineer and am really BIG on sound quality and often use my cars to test a final mix. I find the audio quality over bluetooth to be pretty crappy.

If you use an iPod to usb cable (digital transfer), there should be no difference between cables unless defective.

Thats funny, I am big on sound quality and have worked in a recording studio also, but I find that the bluetooth audio is only slightly worse than usb.

I don't understand why you can't play what you want with bluetooth? Iphone works the same with bluetooth as it normally does. You can pick song, artist, album, or playlist.

I'll have to play with it some more when I get it back, but I couldn't figure it out. It was just playing songs randomly.

You have to change the way the songs are played through your IPhone. I initially had this problem, then figured it out by turning off the random option on the phone.
