Lightbulb Front Rattle Found and Fixed - Easy DIY

I had an annoying rattle coming from the inner windshield area since I’ve received my truck 2 weeks ago. In the beginning I thought it might be the plastic wires cover behind the rear-view mirror, but it wasn’t.

The rattle was coming from the windshield vents piece, specifically the area covering the 9th speaker and the light sensor. When pressing on it while driving on a rough road the rattle would stop.

I popped out the plastic cover and at first tried a round felt but it was too thick, so I then replaced it with a couple of thin wraps that I made out of an electrical tape and this has resolved the problem. A very easy fix!

Good to know for "just in case"....that's probably the speaker the dealer told me was rattling (even though I specified headliner) and "fixed".

How do you get that front speaker out without messing up the dash? I dont want to go in there prying it and damage my dash...

I didn't remove the speaker, only the cover. You just pull it upwards with your bare hands.

Found and fixed mine too. Mine was the washer hose by the hood hinge. Insulated it. No more noise.
