I am having similar frustration with aftermarket wheels. I found exactly what I wanted for what I wanted to pay, ordered the wheels and was willing to wait 6-8 weeks while they were custom made only to be notified later that the wheels are discontinued! I am still looking, but will likely have to wait at least a year while manufacturers set up for the wierd offset of the D.....

How will the anit-lock brakes, traction control, and stability control all react to the bigger/heavier calipers and quicker stopping distance? Will that be any kind of issue or is it just going tak be a plug and play kind of thing, where all those systems still work like normal, except you just stop faster? Do the D's have an electronic limited slip diff? I assume that would also be affected as well?

what would the calipers have to do with any of that? Its all plug and play...all you need are the calipers and rotors. Everything will be normal except for a shorter stopping distance, less fade, better heat dissipation etc. The Jeep doesnt have a limited slip front and neither does the Durango. Both use the same braking system anyway. Only difference is the calipers and rotors...and I seriously doubt the brembos/rotors are that much heavier than the stock stuff. The front brakes are pretty good size on the Durango. Now the rears may be a different story as the rear brakes on the Durango are wimpy...wimpy...wimpy.....LOL

Oh, well I had no idea If any of that had anything to do with any of those systems or not. I was just curious. My logic was if let's say the stability control senses body roll and actuates the brakes on certain wheels to counteract the roll, if now, with the beefier rotor/caliper, that brake actuation grabs more than it would with the stock ones, it could magnify or worsen the body roll. But I guess if the system is based on sensors that measure the body roll, wheel speed, etc. it would just modulate the amount of brake actuation necessary based on how efficient the brakes are. I don't really know much about how all those systems work, and what sensors/parameters they monitor, I was just curious if the calipers would change any of that. Thanks. And I'm just as excited to watch your progress on this project as you are to get it done! Thanks for pioneering this.

Folks swap bigger brakes onto LX cars (Charger, 300, Magnum) all the time with no problems. I swapped to smaller Wilwood calipers and rotors on my '07 Charger SRT8 drag car and had no issues.
