So Ive been working for a couple months to put together the parts for the Jeep SRT8 6 pot brembos upgrade to the front of my Durango Heat. I have everything I need.but one little miniscule part...the anti-rattle clips! Jeep sent me the clips....but they are from the first gen 4 pot brembos and are not even close to working with the 6 pots! So I call up Jeep customer service, SRT customer service......dealers....no dice! They all claim thats the right part# and part! Its so obvious its DUMB! So I ask for help from Mopar and the president of SRT...Ralph Gilles! Then I find out on my own tha the CTS-V uses basically the same clip. So I order two from a caddy dealer last WED. They only got ONE in today! Is this how caddy parts are....order them and wait over a week? Now RG texts me saying he needs my address to ship me the clips.....but when will they be here? LOL.....what a clusterfu.........


So right now I have the brembos and rotors setting here....collecting dust

22" SRT wheels and lugs setting here.....

new 5000K Xenondepot bulbs setting here....

new 730n Nav setting here......


Maybe tomorrow.....LOL!

 

This si all too familiar...having dealt with car mods and aftermarket parts for years now, this is ths kind of situation one can expect. If it's not with the order, it's something with the part. Takes alot of patience to be a car guy

 

I feel like i can relate...in my own way. I am now on my 3 monitor order. Everyone I order from keeps dropping the ball. I finally received a tracking number from a company (with high expectations on my end) and 4 days later it still hasnt left their building. Why cant we just go to a store and buy what we want. This search and wait thing is for the birds.

Ive posted calipers here somewhere...they are the 6 pot brembos from the 2012 Jeep SRT8. Im doing the rear as well...but the calipers are on national backorder till mid august.

Yep...Ive known RG for about 2 years...but just recently had personal contact with him at the NY auto show unveiling of the Viper. I asked him for help with the rattle clips via twitter and he sent me a message right away...then sent me some texts. he's def, a car guy!

yep...got the bulbs in last night...but my dealer cant activate the Nav via startscan till next Wed. No reason to install it and it not work till then...lol
