Is there anyway to program the in-dash DVD player to play on the screen on the dash while the vehicle is not in park?
I realize that it's illegal to operate a vehicle with the movie playing in view of the operator, but, hell, so are most modifications.
I really want to program my DVD player so that my wife can enjoy the movie as well as my son, not requiring her to sit in the back.

So, that my only option? It's meat more than I want / need... Just looking to unlock the DVD player while the vehicle is in motion.

 

That is your only option or the nav-tv piece (which i believe is more expensive). since these radios are controlled though the can bus system of the vehicle you cant simply just ground or disconnect any wires.
