Default Has anyone been successful with adding DRLs with the factory HIDs?

I'm taking my '12 Citadel to the dealer tomorrow for some minor things and want them to enable the DRLs with the StarScan. I know we (in the US) are missing two relays....has anyone successfully been able to get the DRLs working properly with the factory HID lights?

Will do. Dropped it off this morning. Told them about needing the relays, etc and enabling the DRLs in StarScan. Didn't seem like a big deal to them but we'll see. Pick up the car tomorrow (Friday) and will report back.

Very interested. My wife was running with the headlights all the damn time and she so far has burned out a fog light and one of those 194s in the liftgate. I want to punch the m-f-er that designed that liftgate.

You have to partially remove the interior panel of the liftgate to access and then once you get the smallest hand you can find in there, the bulb on the outer edge of the liftgate (not the tail light) is behind $%#$ing sheet metal!

And you can't remove that housing from the liftgate because A)2 of the 4 plastic nuts is behind that panel and B)due to the design of the housing it is tucked behind the rear DODGE applique (that sits below the rear glass) so you would have to remove those nuts as well.

I could understand if the housings were solid state LEDs, but not friggin' incandescent bulbs!

Not sure how many are following this thread but a quick update: the dealer did research the relays and is now trying to source them. These guys are awesome (Manhattan Jeep) as far as trying to get them working. We'll post more once we reach a resolution.

Default Update

Wiring harness. That's the crux of the issue. Evidently, the US Durango's with HIDs (well certainly mine at least) have a different wiring harness than the Canadian models. So although we have the spot for the necessary relays (small box on the left), they isn't a circuit behind it (so plugging in the relays is useless).

Guess that puts an end the issue. Many thanks to Manhattan Jeep for chasing that down for me / us.

I'm picking up the car today and my service tech is going to point out the issue in detail but that's where it stands.
