Oh yes... trust me I work for a big fleet company that rents and leases all kinds of vehicles. On top of that, I work for the vehicle repair department for that company. I know all too well what can happen, especially on a 400 mile trip. Let's just hope the two 80 year old drivers live up to their stereotype and drive ever so carefully on their way back to SC.

In the end, I still can back out of the deal if there is something that I can not live with.

Yeah man! When I bought the G37, Ray Catena had to get it all the way from Maryland because it was the closest dealer that had the Sedan Sport in RWD. All the ones up north here were all AWD! 200 miles on the car when we finally got it. And I know they beat the living dog sh&# out of it on the way up, but all was well in the end!

It will be nice seeing another Durango in the area. I think I've seen a total of three in Lexington compared to the 300 Grand Cherokees.

Might have been a better idea to fly up there and buy it and drive it back. Or its only like $600 to flatbed ship it.

Bought the vehicle and holy crap there is a lot of tech!... Almost fully loaded (just missing the "technology package") and this thing should be a luxury vehicle. What helps give the luxury feeling is the Captain's chairs with center console. When you recline both all the way back and have the DVD screen down you almost forget you're in a car. Dodge has come a long way with this vehicle... and I must say I am impressed.

Finally, you know you've done something right when my wife and I are still finalizing paper work with the sales and financial guys and outside the office window the salesmen are gathering around the car drooling. They only have base and crew models on the lot and it was only the second R/T my salesman had seen.

My Dealer located my 2012 R/T Deep Blue Pearlcoat, AWD, Sunroof, 730N Navigation, etc. in Springfield, MO at Central Dodge. I live in Southern Indiana, 400 miles away. The only way I would buy it was if I drove it from Missouri. I drove a Caravan with about 11 miles on it to Missouri and picked up the Durango which also had 11 miles on it. They use older people to pick up those cars but, they could care less about breaking in a engine and are more concerned about getting home for supper. It was a 13 hour day but it was worth it. I also made a new friend when I stopped for lunch. I did the same thing with a new truck, also in Missouri, several years ago.
