Default Ihone/IPOD usb issues

I can't seem to win with this vehicle. When one issue gets resloved another seems to show up. Anyone know if there has been an update to the UConnect system to be more compatible with Apple products. My system has been touchy since day one, but over the last couple days it has not recognized my IPOD or my wifes Iphone. I've tried unplugging, turning the system off and even shutting the vehicle off, but nothing seems to get it to recognize the units. If there has been an update do I have to go to the dealer to get it fixed or is there something I can do online.

This vehicle is a piece of s**t. Nice job Dodge.

Have you tried bluetooth yet? If you have the 730N, select radio media then devices and you should see you phone. You will however, have go through set-up a device on the menu first. This will allow you to pair your device with it.

I purchased the CHR550 lockpick that has the IPhone cable with it. So far it is working well with the IPhone and allows me to have graphics and menus on the Nav. screen.

What version IPhone are you using?

We have an iPhone 4 an iPod touch 2 and an iPad nano(no idea what gen). All seem to have had problems at some point but the last couple days all units have been locked out

Default iPod and Uconnect

I have the 430N (I think) and it worked flawlessly with my iPod Classic 180gb from day one. Voice command also works very well. I use the connection under the armrest.

I would take the iPod and truck to the dealer and make them figure it out. Also might try the same iPod/iPhone on a different vehicle to figure out if it's just your vehicle or all of them, or possibly an issue with your device or cable.

Oddly enough on the cars I have rented with iPod connections (always Hyundai or Kia it seems) I can never get that same iPod to work with the built in system.

No problems here, using 3GS and 5 with 730N.

couple questions here, ok:
1) it appears that you have a 2011 vehicle, correct? Do you know the build date?
2) If built prior to 6-1-2011, have you had the Uconnect SW update done? (TSB 08-019-12, this the current TSB# and it was 08-036- 11 rev A)
3) Which radio do you have?
4) Have you tried rebooting the Apple products? I have the iPhone 4 & 4S, both have to be rebooted a few times a month for issues other than just BT problems. On the iPhone, press both the home & power buttons at the same time till the white apple appears, then release them. The phone will now reboot. On the iPod, there are different methods depending on the model. Apple has information on how to reset on their website.
Generally if a device has been working fine then suddenly hass issues, it most usually won't be the vehicle electronics.

Agreed. Verify if you have the software update. I have a 2011 Citadel and no issues with Apple stuff via USB and Bluetooth.

I just sync'ed up my Ipad 3 to my '13 D and all is working perfectly. I wasn't much of a buy digital kind of guy so I had to download a couple of new songs on iTunes before I could even test. Pretty cool feature (I know I'm behind the times on this).

BTW... Gangnam Style.
