I just called Jet Performance and they informed me that there is an anticipated November launch date for a Jet Performance chip that works on the Durango 2011/12 V8 Hemi...

Must be a SEMA launch thing as that's at the end of this month

 

yeah we've heard rumors of a sema debut for some tuning options... hopefully someone other than jet comes through with a handheld tuner!

 

Jet is better than no tune I guess. But in tuning units you do get what you pay for, and Jet is on the low end of the range. If they were nearly as good as the high end tunes they'd charge as much. It is expensive to crack the code and develop a tuner - lots of time and man hours which need to be captured in the sale price. It maybe just $40 worth of parts, but without the thousands of hours spent on them they'd just be a useless pile of parts. Tuners are after all in business to make money, not to build us bargains...

Who are the better vendors out there? I called super chips and was told that it is on their radar but it has been hard to decode the Chrysler code. No date in site.

As I started my last post - Jet is better than nothing. CMil527 gave good recommendations. So far no one has a tuner for '11s of '12s, Rams included. Since Rams are a much much bigger market, they will get their tunes first...
