Getting Antsy...
I ordered a 2013 Durango about three weeks ago, and after almost a week, I got the following email...
The parts required to assemble your new Dodge have been received, and your vehicle is now scheduled for production. Your vehicle may reside in this status for up to two weeks as the production line is prepared for assembly. To follow your vehicle in production, please login to the Vehicle Order Tracking System (VOTS) with the information provided below:
I know the assembly line is shared with the Jeep GC, does anyone know how it works? Do they build Jeep GC's for a few weeks, then switch to Durangos? Im approaching the 2 week mark in the "Production Scheduled" status tomorrow. What is the likely hood that they will start production this week? Im getting restless here....

They will build both vehicles at any given time. Once the vehicle starts to get built it should be done within a day. The biggest variable besides date of build, is shipping. If it is shipped by rail it could spend any number of days in a rail yard waiting for pickup. The usual time from order to arrival is between 6-8 weeks. Keep checking the VOTS system as it will be updated once production starts.
Well, two weeks to the day and the vehicle was moved to frame status....
Im hoping I can take delivery within the next 3 weeks. I have a trip planed for mid Nov and would like to have the Durango, I think its tight but possible...

The computers, the robots and the staff can handle either auto at any time in any quantity.
Seen it first hand.
