Default Coolant Temp rises while in idle

I'm a new owner of a 2013 R/T durango and it's my first V8. Is it normal for the coolant temp to rise while in idle for 10 minutes or so? It never got pass the half way mark but I wonder if would have if I stayed in idle longer it would? Thanks for replies.

The fan seems to kick on right around the 230deg on the EVIC which is right around the half way mark, never seen it go any hotter in the FL traffic. With the A/C on, the temp never gets as high as it does with it off, due to the fan almost always running. Yours sounds normal, enjoy it!

Thanks. Yeah at the time I didn't have the AC on, so that explains alot. Will update if anything changes.
