Powertrain choices
Named one of Ward’s 10 Best Engines for three years, Durango’s standard 3.6-liter Pentastar
V-6 engine paired with the new standard eight-speed transmission delivers up to a 9 percent
improvement in fuel-economy when compared with the previous transmission, not to mention
improved performance. The standard flex-fuel 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine generates an
impressive 290 horsepower (295 horsepower on Rallye) and 260 lb.-ft. of torque, and can tow
up to a best-in-class 6,200 pounds.
The 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 engine produces a best-in-class 360 horsepower and 390 lb.-ft. of torque
with a best-in-class tow rating of 7,400 pounds. The 5.7-liter engine’s Fuel Saver Technology
with cylinder-deactivation seamlessly alternates between smooth, high-fuel-economy four-
cylinder mode when less power is needed and V-8 mode when more power is in demand. This
optimizes fuel economy when V-8 power is not required, without sacrificing vehicle performance
or capability.
Well lets see the pics already

So the press kit only mentions the 8 speed with the V-6? does that mean initial production of V-8's will still have the 6 speed?

nope...both engines come with the 8 speed....although 2 different 8 speeds. nThe 3.6 gets the 8hp45 and the 5.7 gets the 8hp70

I hope the new refresh includes a grab handle on the passenger 'A' pillar and perhaps some ceiling hooks for hanging a jacket in the way back.

I was looking at the '14 Grand Cherokee today, not only does it have the paddle shifters it also has a "sport" mode which alters the shift points to keep the engine higher in the torque band. Perfect for me since I am going to be using mine for towing. The new instrument cluster and navigation screen are winners too.
We went to the dealership to look at a used Citidel, but left with our name on the list to order a '14.

I like my 2013 DD3 looks as is, minus one piece - the tails.
I will be looking to retro those most likely..
I love the headlights today and wouldnt change a thing
anywhere up front, chin spoiler to hood I love the rugged and clean look it has, clear LED's are nothing special, but I do like them when built in red tails. I swapped out my 2010 maxima tails when 2012 came with clear/smoked lenses (I had solid red lenses and LED's) and its so much nicer. The headlights barely changed so i left those alone. I feel like I'll be doing the same with my DD...and I'll be set.
I doubt they harness will change it should be a clean swap, at least all tail light retros Ive done previously on same gen cars have been that way,
also did an older honda accord...
