Default Road resonation

I just bought a Cert pre owned 2012 Durango Crew RWD. w/26k miles

I noticed today at freeway speeds there is a resonation... Like a Wah Wah Wah.... more of a resonation than an audible tone.

It's a little annoying.... I dug through the forums, I noticed some people mentioning a un-fixable shimmy in the steering wheel, things like this (mine has a n almost unnoticeable shake)..

Ideas before I take it to the dealer? Also anyone know if you have to take it to the dealer you bought it? As I have a much closer one.

This sound like an alignment issue or balance issue. May just need a rotation and balance. That's where I would start.

Good advice! I know rotation is cheap, but is that something the CPO coverage should cover? Should this have been done before delivery?

JM,

The Chrysler CPOV warranty would not cover tires if that was indeed the issue. If it was a mechanical or electrical item it would be covered for the first 3 months 3,000 miles. After the 3/3 it would be powertrain related items only. That is unless you purchased additional coverage on top of the CPOV warranty that was included. Also, if it is a Chrysler CPOV plan it will be honored at any Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram dealer in the United States and Canada so you can definitely take it to the one nearest you. If this is indeed a issue that is related to tires or something else not covered under the CPOV plan, I would suggest you take it back to the selling dealer to try and get some resolution for those issues though.

Carfax is clean on it.. I took it to my guy at bridgestone today, he thinks its a bearing.. I am hoping that it';s covered under CPO...

However I jacked up the car today and spun both front wheels.. To me it sounds like the rotors may be a little warped...

Taking to dealer tomorrow.

So I drove it on a 200 mile trip today and noticed that when I change lanes to the right the sound goes away... I have an appointment at the dealer on Wednesday to have it looked at.

Weird.. Any thoughts?

It should be covered if it's a Chrysler CPOV warranty on the vehicle.
