OK, I want to buy these but is it really worth the aggrevation everyone has had?

Can anyone give me a step by step process on the install process that worked so I can hopefully avoid some of the problems?

Come on, the skin on the knuckles will heal after a few weeks.

I tried the heating process some said they used, didnt work for me, I just shaved a small amount off inside of brake pedal until I got it to fit, this was after 30 minutes of frustration. It is worth the efffort though, they look great.

 

Just do it ...its not that bad

 

Get em real warm with a heat gun (not melted) or set them in some real hot water it can be worked on. The gas pedal just takes a big push and it snaps on

It took me about 45 minutes to get the brake pedal on. I'm a big guy so laying on my back half in and half out the DD is a struggle.
I spent 5 minutes on the gas pedal before the side clamps broke. I took it back to the dealer and his manager didn't want to replace it. An argument followed. The owner was called in and he said he get me a new one. The new gas pedal didn't want to go on either so after about 10 minutes I said, "F*** it" slathered up the back of it with Elmers and snapped on the three sides that would fit. Maybe the fourth side will fall into position during one of my driving episodes . . .? :-)

 

Well worth it... do it up!

 

I used the wife's blow dryer and heated them until the rubber was soft, pulled the brake pedal right on. The gas pedal I had to shave a little plastic out of the rounded corners, not much, I used a sharp razor knife with a couple of passes in each corner until it pushed and clipped on. Looks so much better then just stock rubber. Do It. Dooo Itttt.
