BTW the Dodge site has this really cool car compare section. If you've never tried it, do so. Probably not 100% accurate, but still fun.

I just had my first service at the Dodge dealer at 8k miles. For $50 they did oil and filter, rotated the tires, checked all the fluids, tread depth, wipers, battery, hoses, belts. Basically the same as the MB A service.
The Durango is the first non-Mercedes I've had in 13 years. I had a great MB service center (not a dealer, but only did MB) and they were much cheaper than a MB Dealer, but I still never saw a $50 A service!

I just did my 1st oil change, used Mobil1, Napa gold filter, and all the "checks" on the list.
Done at a local place that services all, but they specialize in Mopar products.
$105.00 And they will do my oil filter and oil top off in between oil change intervals.

Ridiculous, my cousin has her second 3 year Mercedes lease and your responsible for what they call service 1 & service 2 which each cost $450 +... Absolutely insane!

QUOTE=GotRPM;2959901]I love comments like this. Not trying to be offensive to anyone, but if you buy a highline automobile you have to expect to pay more for everything than you would if you bought a Ford. This is certainly not insane. If you can't afford to maintain a vehicle, buy one which is cheaper to own. Kinda like buying a PowerWagon and then complaining that a Civic gets better gas mileage.....

I have leased two BMW's that had 3 years of full regular maintenance service no bogus service 1 and 2 like Mercedes is pushing off and if u had read further u would have noticed a former owner of a Mercedes tell u his experience at another dealership so there in lies the problem. The highline vehicle theory may hold sum water if u have a amg or m car but not across the full model range!
