Just got home from a week in Maine and NH towing 3300 lbs. Way better than my 2008 DD with 4.7. MPG is around 16 at 75 but gets better if I drive 65. Ran it up Mt Washington and temps hit 230 water, 244 oil and 197 tranni. normal towing it was 220 water 200 oil and 150-165 tranni. drove 50 miles on rt 93 in NH at 67 mph 1750 rpms in cruise with tow haul off and it never downshifted once just pulls the hills. Amazed at the alone.

Mike- I can't imagine you ever needing to use tow/haul pulling that.

Default Tow outlet part number

Could you please provide a link or updated part number for the wiring? I also have the 7 pin connector prewired up to the rear bumper, but I can't find part #556055632AB or AC anywhere.

Thanks in advance.

I ordered from Steve White Motors - Dodge Dealership in N.C (800) 779-3634 for $164.00 plus shipping.

I ordered the wiring harnest system based upon the Forum recommendation, but after I removed the spare tire, I found out that the vehicle was already pre-wired. I returned the wire harnest (unopened) and ordered the Combo 7 way and 4 way trailer tow outlet (which connects to the wire harnest). The tow wire outlet was $34.69 (Part #556055632AB or AC). I am still waiting delivery of the wiring tow outlet which was shipped 2 days ago. You should remove the spare tire to see if you have the wiring harnest. If so, all you need to order is the wire harness connector and not the entire harnest.

Those numbers provided are the numbers listed in the MOPAR box/packaging I received. If you go to your local Dodge dealership they should be able to provide the parts you need. Make sure you check to make sure you have the wires already in your vehicle and all you need is the connector.

I ordered from stevewhitemotors.com

You will also need the dealer activate the wiring.
