Default Looking for oem exhaust system

Hello again, I was talking to a local speed shop today about MODS for my new truck. After our dicussion we agreed on several things. One: the CAI systems makes little power but has a good aggressive sound when sucking in fresh air. two: The exhaust systems gives the D great sound but without a tune they are less then stellar with only small gains. Three: The aftermarket TB's are a waist of money unless you are changing internals or adding ProCharger or Supercharger then almost a must have.

So with that said, I would like to take out the front trash can sized resonator in the front of our exhaust system and replace it with a X-pipe. He also agreed that would be a good choice for starters and give the exhaust some more flow with minimum cost. He then said with the CAI and a tune the 5.7 Hemi will wake up nicely and provide better MPG on the highway as he see's 24 MPG on trips to Florida in his Hemi Magnum with only the CAI and Diablo Tuner.

Feel free to chime in and express you own opinions

Well, I don't want to cut up my exhaust system just yet in case I hate it. So anyone out here have a full Hemi system they want to sell? and also be within driving distance of Philly area. PM me!

Let us know how it sounds without the large trash can thing.

Not sure but removing the reso you might get droning, which i hear is very annoying specially in mds mode.

I've got mine cut up for sale. Willing to ship but pretty pricey shipping since the package will be awkward and heavy: 72x22x24 and roughly 80-100 lbs.

I'll let it go for $200 (+ actual shipping/packaging cost)

No worries. Wouldn't have fit back into the D without the cuts. You wouldn't have driven down to South Carolina anyways would you? lol
