I have been looking all over for part number the red stitched one for 3 months now, but the dealerships are telling me it is on national backorder (4578532AA). Does anyone know where to get one at, or I think what Jeffrey was asking for was an alternative. I have tried buying a couple of aftermarket products, one from Pilot, and they do not sit low enough or correctly at all. Has anyone tried anything that is not a Mopar product that works? Otherwise, is there someone from Dodge on this forum that could give us some more info on the national backorder and when they might become available?

My dealer said National back order as well and noted that it more than likely wont be available

Hey all, or Howdy,

I am looking at changing out my stock R/T shifter for a pistol grip shifter. There are several available, I like the look of the Mopar grip. There are some threads on this forum from guys who have done this swap....

couple decent options I was considering:

--i like this small T handle one best, but hard to swallow or justify $300 on such a simple and cheap to make piece of
hardware that doesnt add much else except a little bling. Also I'd have to mod the blue mopar badge to a red one somehow. If I ever see it for under $200 I may consider it. Out of sheer principle I will not pay that much, ballzy for Mopar to even ask or insinuate that price! too bad...

--2012 srt8 - real leather, softer feel, perforated (about $70)

for a Dodge challenger, may fit ours (like our stock shifter but adds chrome insert?)

not a fan of the pistol grip shifter or the big t handle- too hot rod for my personal taste. Too bad theres not more options but at least theres probably something for everyone

@SSRT - I like the last 2 for different reasons. I was really hoping to find something with red as well, but I guess we can't be that picky at this point. You don't happen to have a part number for the second one do you? I am not convinced yet it is for me, but I at least like to have Mopar part numbers to look at cost and keep my options open. Good work though, and thanks. Also, did anyone see the one by Scottina11Heat had on here with the carbon fiber? I cannot find a Mopar part number for the either, but that is not a bad option either.

Thanks for all the hard work and discussion so far on this though......it is appreciated.
