Default Much needed insight please.

Hey guys I done a search and found some treads on this but I haven't found a definitive answer. I really like the new Dodge emblem badge on the grill. I like it so much that I ordered me one from Dodge. My question is how to remove the existing badge. I cannot fine a well explained step by step instructions. Maybe one of you can point me in the right direction. From what I hear it's simply and can be done in 10 minutes. But incase you didn't know, we fireman like pictures and illustrations.

I think it just pops out from the backside, might have to push a tab or 2 to get it to release.
This is just from my memory reading about it before. SO I may be wrong??

It definately doesnt just push out as I broke a clip removing mine, hopefully someone chimes in with an illustration so you don't break any clips!

You need to go thru the honeycomb from the bottom of the emblem and push slightly up on the tab to release it while gently pulling on the emblem outward. once I got the first one out I pulled alittle bit and it popped right out. I used a 90* hook tool from craftsman, worked like a charm. I also looked thru the hood hatch area to see down to the emblem instead of trying to do it by feel alone. good luck

Thanx Victory this is what I needed to see and understand. Here I was about to make a trip to the dealership and have them do it. I'm sure they would have charged me a knee cap.

Glad I could help Mr. Price. Just be gently they break easy. You only need to push up on the center portion of the tab, its like 2mm up and it will unlatch. I tried taking a photo of the center tab portion but it just wouldn't come out.

Ok, so from the center of the tab gently pull upwards and out. Gotcha, thanx again. I will leave up when I get it in.
