Default Add Push Button Start?

I have 2011 Heat, with remote start module. Is it even possible to add push button start. Or the vehicle just has to be originally equipped with it, and it's not an add-on or option. I guess because the system would have to have some type of proximity sensor to detect the fob and an actuator/sensor where you would normally place the fob to turn the key?

I thought the Heat had the pushbutton start. I would inquire about what you may need to install it.
It could get a bit complicated and pricey

Try pressing the brake and pushing in ignition wothout key installed. The push button start is just a cover. And if you're able to start it then all you'll need is ignition cover.

That is why I asked if it came with it. I recall someone posting here that when they bought their D someone removed the button only. That would be something else if all it needed was a button.
Good luck

Its not included in a heat or you can not add it on. there are many things that are different behind the scenes. The WIN modules are completely different between the 2.
