Default 12 R/T with new fogs. LED vs HID vs Stock

I've had one or two posts so far, but this is my first thread here. New DD owner, have a 2012 R/T Stone White.

I had DDM tuning HID kits in my last two vehicles. Seeing as how the R/T has stock hid's, I felt as thought I needed to up the fogs. I read a lot of reviews, and some people said HID's will melt the housing. Some said they were fine. I like to gamble. So heres a comparison of the two.

Stock Lights

The Three Lights: 68 LED Bulb, Stock Bulb, and H16 4300k HID Bulb

Stock vs LED

HID vs LED

HID on passenger side is much brighter (duh), LED is more blue in color

HID up close

And because I know I'd get asked to post some night pics...
HID (passenger) vs LED (Driver)

Overall

I am going to stick with HID, because they actually function as a light rather than pure looks of the LED. The LED is more blue. The pics are off of my iPhone, for some reason they are slightly more yellow than in person.

Let me know what you think.

Has anyone actually had hids melt the fogs, or is it a "my brothers cousin-in-law had issues" situation?

Man what a difference between each light source. I drove to work today with my fogs on and it looked like they were dim burnt out bulbs in the reflexion of the cars in front of me. That made me decide to replace my Fogs to LED's. I ordered these LED's tonight, I hope they are the right ones. Their ebay listing says they are compatable with our D3's. factory buld replacement PSX24W.

Description:
H16 With Cree Q5 + 12-SMD 5050 LED Xenon White Fog/DRL Light Bulbs

Its not the lens bro its where the bulbs insert and on the reflective rear portion that melts so check that out. U must have special hids if they aren't melting as I've seen 3-4 guys in NJ with 35 watt kits and melting issues.

what LED bulbs are you showing there and do they actually light up the road better from the driver's seat or are they just "brighter"? I have seen "bright" lights that will blind you if you look at them but they don't light up the road worth a damn because they wash out.....

The led lights are found on ddm tuning for 5 cents a piece. Must be a closeout, so i bought 12. The light output from the led is brighter to look at than stock, but barely lights up the road. If youre looking for better driving lighting, then led isnt for you. HID puts out way more light than LED, but apparently it may melt the housing.

As for melting the housing, i read a few of jeep gc's that it melted the reflective housing right above the bulb.

This is a 35w kit from ddm, so well see
