Default Decision on powder coating OEM 20' wheels

Alright guys as usual I can use your advice. I've been throwing this idea around in my head for quite some time now. I like the OEM 20 that are on my DD. I could buy some new ones, but I've been there and done that. At one point I had 24' Chrome rims on my 2006 Toyota Tundra Double Cab. Anyways back to my dilemma, a good friend of mines can powder coat my wheels for about $75.00 a wheel. Yes he's professional, he has a shop this is what he does for a living painting cars. My question is I don't know what Color to go with for my wheels. Should I go with black or the same color of my Durango stone white or a mixture of the two. What do you guys think?

I was going to go down the same route also, but I would have to be without my truck for a week and up on jack stands etc and I really couldnt afford to be without it. My wife said, that I was crazy wanting to paint my wheels(as she called it) why not buy new rims, this is where I turned away and we never discussed it again until she said, "what are in those 4 boxes outside the front door

Im a a fan of black rims personally, I think there is also a few guys on here that have painted their rims and I believe the black top version of the truck is just the same oem wheels painted too. But its is definitely the cheaper option, good luck man.

Like fintan06, I also think black looks better. Not really sure how white rimes would look. I have a white D3 as well and if I were to change the rims black would be the color. How long is your friend going to take to do your wheels? Can't beat the price.

@ Fintan, That's Funny. I to am leaning towards black rims.

@ Mikeh, 3 to 4 days with out my truck. With my schedule I work every 3rd day. So I can take a day of from work and I'll have 5 days of. I can use the wife Camry to take the kids to school and her to work. So it shouldn't be too bad for me. Right now this is at the bottom of my want to do list for the truck. Next is the shark fin. Just waiting for it to be delivered.

Cmil, hey bro how long did it take for you to receive your shark fin? It's saying for me which I imagine is probably what they say to everyone 2 weeks for production then it will ship. Does it really take that long?

I ordered mine April 3rd, recieved today April 15th. Will probably not get a chance to install until the weekend, unless my three boys give me a 15 minute break, but I doubt it.
