I put about 28k miles a year on, and with my 2012 Durango with 5.7L I've been getting it changed every 5k or so. Dealer suggests 3k but I figure with full synthetic oil, it should go 5k. Never have seen a reminder light, didn't even know it had one.

I sopose the dodge dealer oil change interval is similar to there Hemi Spark Plug change interval. " 30K Miles" ARE YOU KIDDING ME

i usually change mine every 3k but have gone as long as 5k. It depends on how you drive (city or highway) and you can actually hear and feel the difference. I can hear my engine (v6) get louder but not in a nice way either. But when i get an oil change it goes quiet and runs smoother.

I actually got an oil change today. I usually go to the dealer too because its actually cheaper. Ive gone to other places and have spent as much as $70 but normal was $50 and the dealer only charges $40.

Ever since I leased an 03 325I, they did the oil service every 15000 miles so I'm comfortable going to the factory 8000 it suggests in the manual unless I'm towing a lot.
