Default 305' or 315' Rubber ...

Hey guys, new to the forum here and not an acutal Durango owner yet, but doing some due diigence/research prior to an RT purchase. 1st order, the stock rim/tire set up is an insult to the rest of the RT body. I plan on driving mine right off the lot, and over to my mod guys shop.

Anyone running 305' or 315' rubber on a 22' ?? any known issue ?? I am going to go with Viper Repo., maybe stagger 22x9 front 285/40/22 and 22x10 rear 305/315/40/22 ... I thinkt the offset on the Viper Repo leaves the rim flush to the wheel well with a 285 if I am correct. Would think anything wider would stick out just a hair, which wouldnt be so bad on the rear end. Would make for a pretty mean rear stance.

Thanks in Advance

Welcome hard t... most guys run the 285/40's I personally run a 275/40 on my 22" set up. We have a few guys running staggered set ups on 20's but I'm not sure I've seen 22's staggered and I would be concerned about the 305's rubbing...good luck!

I would think the 275/285 width would not look much different as far as stance goes compared vs. stock ... is it a noticeable difference ? when you look at the back end of say, an X5 with an M package, that 20' has 325 rubber which looks great !

I have a 295 on the rear of my D with summer tires. That is as wide as I could go. I have the SRT8 reps with a 20x9 in front and 20x10 in the rear.

305 40 22 is just a hair from rubbing. I tried 305 40 22's on my 13' Jeep SRT ad it was too close....and I wanted to lower.
