This is not true. The US models and the export models are different. The under-hood wiring is different.

There is a relay box under the hood behind the fuse box where the relays in export models are present. In US models not only are the relays not in the box, but the wiring into that box where the relays would plug in, is NOT there either.

If you are talking about the small box right behind the fuse box towards firewall. I have that box and inside of that box is full of relays.

FULL? As in, no empty positions? If that is true, then it could be just activating in the computer.

If there are empty positions, then it's likely not doable. Can you take a picture?

Mine is a US model. I bought it from a US dealer and imported it into Canada. Speedometer is in miles with KM on inside ring.

anyone who wants DRL's I can walk you thru it...

we just need to build a simple relay with $10 - $20 in parts and a couple hand tools all from radio shack

or can do quick and dirty - which I dont recommend so I wont say how lol

either way, when ignition turns on so do the headlights..

In the past on several models, you could go in and change the Country Code to Canada and it would enable them. But, you couldn't disable the DRLs if you switched it back to US. I haven't had the guts to try it on a newer model yet as I don't relish the thought of buying someone a new BCM It doesn't make sense to me that EVERY one is not built with the option to enable at least.

because some countries dont want the increased emissions, and only condone DRL's if dedicated low power lamps are installed. So Now that there are dedicated lamps in the 2014 you have DRL's ...

Will the brights be on at half brightness, and the radio screen be on full brightness?
