Well if its a big deal to you, use a 3 inch hole saw, drill a hole in your hood, and 90 a intake straight off the throttle body through the hood.

No intake is completely sealed off, but the "heat shields" block most air and probably pull 70-80% of the air from the outside.

Heres the afe, it blocks most of the air from the engine compartment

Keep an eye on the PS hose righ here. Mine chaffed a little in about a week. I tweaked the metal heatshield. and covered the hose with the plastic ribbed wire cover.

Put on a Hypertech or the Diablo that makes a even hug'r differnece.

I have a hypertech coming and a volant. So your saying I def will feel real results? Also better gas mileage? BT catch can next and thats about it for engine.. truck has 300 miles on it LOL...

Yes but take it easy for a few more hundreds miles per the owners manual . And mine runs better with 89 -91 octane no more fish bite

The BT catch can will be the last thing I do. Not going to mess with exhaust at all can't stand cabin drone...

I'm not even going to get an exhaust now; the way the engine sounds on acceleration with the intake redone is good enough for me.
