2014 Durango or 2014 Grand Cherokee? HELP!
It's hard to believe that either of these cars will satisfy someone who was looking at an E63. The difference is night and day. You are not going to get anywhere near the luxury, electronics, or performance available in the new E class. Of course some of the electronics that were considered high-end just a few years ago are now available in a Nissan. Anyway, the biggest difference between a D and GC is 5 vs. 7 (as in seats). If you anticipate more than one kid and they ever have a play date, you'll be glad you got 7 seats.
And because of the kids coming, that's what turned me towards a more...family vehicle. Not only that, but gotta be smart financially and plan for the future. If I were to buy the E63, I'd have a bad *** ride, but wouldn't have as much money left over as I'd like to buy the wife a new SUV in a couple years, or go on extravagant vacations, or possibly to even take care of a baby!
The E63 will be coming though! Driving the Rango, reminded me of my 05 Magnum RT I had. Miss it!!
Because of our 3 kids we switched to the Durango. We like it and it's definitely better than any passenger car imo.
I would go with the '14 Durango if I were in your shoes. Or the GL63
