I took deliver of my DD yesterday and to my surprise it had a rear DVD in it? They got a slightly different vehicle than what I asked for that stickered for more but they sold it to me for the same price!
Anyway, with the rear DVD now, do I have to go with the 550 of will the V5 do the job? What extra about the rear DVD that makes the 550 a benefit?

You can go with the lockpic V5 or the NU-CHY2 Pac Audio product I guess it just depends on what you need it to do
I only really want this so my wife or any passenger can enter data on NAV while we are moving. Otherwise I am happy with its operation stock

ps Lets see some pics of that D!

If you have an IPhone, go with the 550, it comes with the integrated Ipod and phone cable, plus AUX output for running video from your phone to the rear DVD

Found a link on fleebay for $319 for chr550. Whats everyones preference. Also as usual whats install like including removing faceplates of dash etc without mangling things up? If someone has asked this before, sorry, not enough coffee to search the forum yet.

Thanks as always.
so you are not installing the interceptor 'cause you are worried about install complexity and issues but you're looking for a radio harness !?

just sayin... there is prob more work and similar dangers involved with these bypass harnesses than there is with installing a hypertech module...very similar install

good luck either way...!

I think I hit my negative terminal with the fuse box laying it down, only thing that makes sense, although an error on my part, I really didn't want to F with it anymore as much as I would probably love it. On the other hand sitting in my car watching Tiger beat up the field on Sunday while the missus was shopping sure was nice on the 730n.

Maybe some day Ill have regrets but for now not having to listen to any BS from the dealership in the future or worry about possibly swapping it in and out for service, is less headache I need. Thanks for in put guys, at least it goes to another deserving modder, on its way to Rich aka Rvarnr!!

Thanks Fin!

I hope to get the interceptor on asap.

I need to save up some money for a 550 radio module now. I planned on doing the radio module first but could not resist $100 off of the interceptor.

You can get the Lockpick V5 for $199, you can still use the Apple, just get AV cables instead for the Apple, cheaper option.
