We have good news and bad news....
If the DD gets rebranded I hope it's not in line with the JGC... Have you compared pricing! Wow, it's about 20% higher for a smaller ride. I am still impressed with my Hemi Durango Citadel. I looked at everything, Ford, Chevy, Lexus/Toyota, VW, Nissan/Infinity, Mercedes, BMW (extensive web browsing, building and viewing local inventories) and the DD is by far the best value for a luxurious ride with all the space, features, power, and economy. Nothing can get close for $42-45K~ If it becomes clear the days are numbered I'm going to upgrade to a new one before it's re-badged.
Didn't they also recently make "SRT" into it's own brand to sell the Viper and other performance models?

Chrysler/Dodge can clearly make some really nice stuff when they put their minds to it. This from a guy that before the D, was loyal to Nissan and Honda.
But I think in order to be taken seriously, they need to accept no mediocrity in ANY model or trim, and be consistent in their brand lineup and image for a while. I think they need to step up the professionalism in their marketing, as I think their advertising comes off as overly contrived and patronizing. (I'm a marketing manager at a construction company) I also think they are absolutely FAILING at getting the Durango any kind of press coverage. I enjoy reading automotive magazines and I rarely if ever see it included in any kind of review of SUVs. The Jeep is all over the place, so clearly they can get coverage when they try. The Durango, not so much. Also haven't seen a TV commercial for it in years.
