Continued as a jeep wagoneer or a ram carryall.

I dont see the dodge charger going away anytime soon. It is a very popular police car platform.

My 2 YO could have written a better article, or at least not closed the article by countering the entire premise of the article.

Uh, that would be a Ram truck. There haven't been any Dodge "trucks" for some time....

This is true. Thank you for correcting me. They can shut down Dodge but they better not even think about during down Ram.

They didn't make Ram it's own brand to get rid of it. Let's face it, they are right. The Dodge lineup is weak and getting weaker. They might keep the Durango and Charger but they will be re-branded as Chrysler or Jeep products. It only makes sense. Look what Ford and GM did with Mercury and Olds and Pontiac. For Durango fans you may be looking at a 3 row version of the Grand Cherokee. That wouldn't be the worst thing to happen. The real issue is what does the resale value of your D look like in 4 years. I was hoping to keep mine for a while, but might reevaluate that from a pure financial standpoint.

Not worried about resale value. In four years, its not going to matter whether the Dodge name is around or not. It's smart to make the Jeep with a third row and phase out the Dodge Durango. That said, we love our 2011 Citadel...a great family ride. No issues in 22 months of ownership. For the money, its the best value, best looking three-row ride around. Love the styling and the fact you don't see a lot of them in the road.
