Default 2012 Dodge Durango Crew 3.6l

Hi, bought this vehicle in February with 19k miles on it. Finding it has some "issues" that I wish I had known beforehand. Slow to accelrate but once up runs really well. Great road trip vehicle. Having some problems with slippage, going in for trans check. Anyone else have issues with their 2012 Durangos?

Welcome to DF, I'll move your post to the 3nd gen Dak section. You'll get more help there.

It's a Durango, not a Dakota

My '12 Crew was a former rental unit with 23K when I bought it in April. So far none of the issues you've mentioned, or any for that matter, have popped up. With the stock rear end -- I think it is in the 3.08 range -- you can't expect a quick take-off. For quicker starts I simply slap it into first and flog it through the gears. No problems.

2012 Crew V6 AWD with 17000 miles here. Acceleration is weak with the V6, especially if you are coming from something faster (for example, a minivan).

You have to lay your foot into it to wake it up. Also, there is some computer reset that you can do with the gas pedal (search the forums) which erases any "learned" behavior in the D's computer. Seems to help. Passing power is decent in mine as long as you stomp on it like you mean it.

Haven't noticed any tranny issues. It's really smooth shifting and hunts a bit, as it tries to hard to stay in higher gears in my opinion.

Welcome... The trucks too heavy for the V6 IMO they tend to be sluggish even with the Hemi!
