Default Mpg on 18" vs 20"

Have a 2012 Durango sxt with the 18" wheels and thinking of trading up to a 2013 citadel with 20" wheels, both have the 3.6l with 3.09 axle rwd. I currently get about 22mpg highway when I drive it( wife prob gets a little better) can anybody tell me if I will lose much mpg?

The wheel and tire pkg's should share or have a relatively close OD so I dont see how fuel ecenomy should be much if any different!

There are different weights of the wheels and tires based upon mass of them.
Often larger rims and tires will cause a decrease in fuel mileage. Between the 2 sets the Durango comes with I am sure its a minor amount

Impossible to answer, because you can't put a price on looking good. That being said, I have a citadel with a hemi and get 21 on the highway, so I wouldn't think you would lose much

Thanks for the input guys! Looks like the deal may fall through for now, the citadel is not on "special" anymore so the price went back up on it but it has been on the lot for at least 6 months so hoping I can pick it up in a few months when the new ones start hitting the lots and not have the notes go up $100 a month!

Ouch. That's a huge hit for sure. But after all, you're going from the bottom trim line (SXT) to the top (Citadel) and you're getting a lot more car than you're giving up.
Keep pounding on your local Dodge guy every day then go back and make him an offer at the first lower price he gave you. And offer to take it . . . today. That'll get his wallet twitching and maybe loosen things up a bit. Good luck, and I LOVE the look of your truck. Snappy, snappy, snappy. :-)
